A four hour CQB Rifle masterclass with firearms and military movement specialist and former mocap supervisor from the Call of Duty franchise, Marc Morrisseau. Learn the techniques and skills used by real Tier-1 military units to help take your military acting skills to the next level.

This class does not take place in a mocap studio or in mocap suits as it would only serve as a distraction and additional cost at this stage.

What You'll Learn

Movement characteristics that are present in experienced operators vs. fresh recruits.
Small team dynamics and body language.
Understanding the weapon as an extension of the body in combat application.
The differences between specific rifle grips and shooting platforms.
Learn drills that you can practice and work on your own as you develop yourself into an efficiently trained performer with real skills.
We'll even learn some firearm language and more!

The most important factor is to give you personal experience and quality skills upon which you can build accurate military characters and movements.

Tutor: Marc Morisseau has been training with modern firearms since 2007. Starting with Ex-Army Special Forces (LRRPs) and subsequently Police (SWAT), Active Military and AirForce personnel, he has had a range of training across many weapons and scenarios, but none more than CQB Rifle. A career in large franchise shooter games (TitanFall, COD, Battlefield) has exposed him to Tier One (CAG/DEVGRU) concepts and training. Marc has brought his experiences working with these skills as well as performing them into a workshop designed to help performers build skills to take their military action performance to the next level.

Marc started his career in the entertainment industry in 2011 working as a Mocap artist on Resident Evil 6. His experience on-set facilitated moves to facial capture supervisor, stage manager and mocap supervisor across games like TitanFall, Wolfenstein, Battlefield 4, Shadow of Mordor, Until Dawn, Mad Max and Call of Duty titles. He later moved to films, specializing in Previz using mocap and game engines. He worked mocap previz and VFX on Thor 2, Star Trek Into Darkness, Deadpool, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Warcraft, Mazerunner, Ant-Man, X-Men:DOFP and Spiderman Homecoming to name a few. He returned to games and currently works in Los Angeles, developing on-set real-time tools, mocap pipelines and elevating technologies on motion capture stages.

IMPORTANT: Everyone will be responsible for providing their OWN airsoft/mock assault rifle - The more accurate a replica, the better, but even a simple airsoft or rubber rifle will work as long as the proportions are close enough to be comfortable for you to use. Either borrow from a friend or purchase your own.

THE MOCAP VAULTS CANCELLATION POLICY

By Purchasing this class, you agree to our cancellation policy which states that we require a minimum of seven (7) days’ notice to qualify for a partial refund.

We will attempt to replace you in the event of a cancellation. If we can replace you, you will receive a refund minus Admin fee that amounts to 20% of your original payment for the class and PayPal has recently changed their terms and conditions and will no longer refund their transaction fee so this will be included in addition to the Admin fee. This means that you will receive the total, minus the Admin & PayPal fee, in the event of a refund.

If you cancel within Seven (7) days of the class and we cannot replace you, you will not receive a refund.

If you would like to carry over a credit for a class missed due to illness or other circumstances beyond The Mocap Vaults control, and agreed upon by the instructor, you will only be able to carry the credit over for the next following class that is offered on the date it is offered with no exceptions. After that, you will forfeit the credit and not be issued a refund.
