Advanced Performance Techniques class where we focus on scene work and character development, as well as on improving your ability to self direct.

You MUST have completed Heroes & Monsters 2 to attend this class.

This class does not take place in a mocap studio or in mocap suits as it would only serve as a distraction and additional cost at this stage.

This class allows us to connect the work we have already done on character and environment and start to create dramatic scenes that will enable you to put your skills into practice. You will also begin to tackle one of the most common and difficult practices within the mocap world: acting to pre-recorded voiceover.

Movement Master Gareth Taylor and The Mocap Vaults Co-founder, John Dower, will lead you as we explore the most common types of motion capture work, learn how to extract critical information from directors and animators, and develop the skills that will allow you to be more self reliant in the volume, especially when working with new or inexperienced directors.

This is a practical class where we will be engaging in exercises and scene work.

This class serves as an excellent preparation for our Cinematics class. The majority of the material in this class will also be applicable to stage and screen work.

THE MOCAP VAULTS CANCELLATION POLICY

NOTE: By Purchasing this class, you agree to our cancellation policy which states that we require a minimum of seven (7) days’ notice to qualify for a partial refund.

We will attempt to replace you in the event of a cancellation. If we can replace you, you will receive a refund minus Admin fee that amounts to 20% of your original payment for the class and PayPal has recently changed their terms and conditions and will no longer refund their transaction fee so this will be included in addition to the Admin fee. This means that you will receive the total, minus the Admin & PayPal fee, in the event of a refund.

If you cancel within Seven (7) days of the class and we cannot replace you, you will not receive a refund.

If you would like to carry over a credit for a class missed due to illness or other circumstances beyond The Mocap Vaults control, and agreed upon by the instructor, you will only be able to carry the credit over for the next following class that is offered on the date it is offered with no exceptions. After that, you will forfeit the credit and not be issued a refund.
